De-Loused in the Comatorium is the debut concept album by the band The Mars Volta, released in 2003. It tells the story of a man named Cerpin Taxt, who enters a week-long coma after overdosing on a mixture of morphine and rat poison. The album's complex progressive and psychedelic rock sound blends furious rhythms with Latin influences, capturing the protagonist's surreal, dreamlike journey through his coma.
